"When Bellevue started TouchPoint in 2009, we did not imagine it would turn into the dynamic and robust platform it is today. We are grateful to see TouchPoint grow to serve churches of all denominations so well and look forward to the innovation to come from this transition to Cass. Pursuant has fostered support and growth with excellence, and I believe Cass will continue developing a product that will serve the ever changing ministry needs of the church.”

David Coombs, Administrative Pastor at Bellevue Baptist Church

About The Team

On a personal note, about 20 years ago I helped start Pursuant,  TouchPoint’s parent company. It has been a joy and honor to see Pursuant grow into an impactful company serving millions of people through great nonprofit organizations. In this transition, I have decided to step down from Pursuant so I can stay with TouchPoint. I love our team at Pursuant and plan to remain serving on their board. However, my heart lies with the church, with you, our partner churches at TouchPoint. I am thrilled to be leading the team in this transition over to Cass. Thanks for being on this journey with us!

Ross Miller

TouchPoint, General Manager

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Why Cass?

Cass Information Systems is a 100 year old,  publicly traded corporation, whose bank is backed by the federal reserve. Cass has been serving faith-based organizations for almost 30 years with a stellar track record of deploying resources to help churches fund ministry. To better serve churches, Cass acquired Gyve in 2019 (learn more about Gyve below), and TouchPoint in 2022. TouchPoint will lead the combined church software offerings for Cass.

  • Why not Pursuant?

Pursuant has taken TouchPoint on a positive path since they purchased the software in 2017. Under Pursuant’s leadership, TouchPoint has grown significantly. However, Pursuant's main client base is nonprofit organizations, where they do amazing work with helping raise money for great causes. Pursuant recently launched GivingDNA®, a software analytics platform for nonprofit fundraising. This divestiture of TouchPoint will provide funding and focus to grow that platform, and it will allow TouchPoint to join a parent organization that has a long history of serving churches.

  • What is Gyve?

Gyve is a generosity platform, founded in Brighton, Michigan in 2017. Like TouchPoint, Gyve was created by a church, for the church, where they help churches fund ministry and take next steps with their vision. Gyve engages first-time givers just 74 days before they start giving in other ways and they provide industry-leading analytics.

Churches that use Gyve have seen:

    • 76% of donations come through electronically
    • 68% increase in first-time givers
    • 18% increase in overall generosity

    Meet Gyve

  • What does Gyve have to do with TouchPoint?

Gyve is also a faith-based organization that is owned by Cass. Gyve will integrate TouchPoint to strengthen the abilities of both platforms.

  • Will Church Partners be required to use Gyve?

No, church partners do not have to switch to Gyve. Some churches have expressed a desire to have a singular provider, lower costs, and better giving solutions. We believe this will be helpful for many of our partner churches, but we are not requiring change. Rather, we hope to earn the right to talk by creating something that is truly beneficial for the church.

  • Does this change the way TouchPoint operates?

We have worked hard to minimize disruption for our partner churches. Our staff is joining the Cass family, and Ross will lead the faith-based software division of Cass. Our team and technology are staying the course. We are grateful to be announcing a partnership that we believe is good for our churches and good for our team.

  • Are we going to continue to get the same level of Customer Service?

Our client success team will provide you with the same level of service that they always have. We are lucky to have a team dedicated to your success with TouchPoint.  We track our metrics closely (first reply time, time to resolve, one-touch tickets, satisfaction rating, and retention) and will watch these measurements. Service will continue to be a high priority!

  • Are you going to slow down innovation?

We have made significant investments in our product and  development teams over the past five years  to create ministry tools for your teams. Our investments and plans are not slowing down. Additionally, Cass brings additional resources that provide stability, security, and scalability that will help us continue to grow our enterprise software.  We hope you will sign up for our monthly new-feature webinars and join us at Summit to see the latest!

  • Do our agreements remain the same?

Your agreement with the same terms and conditions will move from Pursuant to Cass. Our Master Services Agreement does get updated from time to time, and I expect it will be reviewed and updated to comply with Cass’ legal standards. Cass is not asking TouchPoint to change pricing. Our goal is to minimize disruption for our partner churches through this process.

  • Does this change who I speak with at TouchPoint?

TouchPoint staff are included in this change in ownership. Your contacts will remain the same!

About Us

Cass is a 100+ year old, publicly traded organization with over 1,100 employees nationwide. Cass has serviced the church for almost 30 years through its faith-based division, which we are thrilled to join.  With Cass comes the financial strength of a bank and the security and stability of a publicly traded company.

TouchPoint creates software to make the lives of church staff, lay leaders, and churchgoers easier. Many of us have gained experience by working in the church and/or serving in the church, so we know firsthand the needs of the church. We pride ourselves on our relationships with our church partners and letting their feedback help guide our roadmap.

Gyve is a Generosity Platform that helps churches take next steps in current and potential giving by utilizing world class advances in analytics and using those to begin engaging first time givers.
